Last night my genderqueer group was a bit more free-form than it usually is. There came a point where conversation had dwindled, and nobody had suggested a particular subject to talk about. Our group facilitator asked "So, do you all want to keep talking, or just hang out, or is there anything you want to bring up?" Everybody was quite for a minute, then a bunch of people looked at me.
"We're looking at you, Miles."
"Got any good topics?"
It totally made me smile, that people think I consistently have interesting topics to bring up, and have the ability to start a good conversation.
So I brought up how I've been thinking lately about whether there is space for men in feminism, and if so, what that space should entail. And we had a really awesome conversation about it. :D
